The Fovitec 7'6" Light Stand is a small, lightweight light stand that is perfect for speedlights and various other small lights. This stand can support up to 6.6 lbs and features a standard 5/8” stud mount with 1/4”-20 thread. The compact size of this stand makes it perfect for the photographer on the move and will fit in most standard light stand bags.
What are these stands good for?

Speedlights and small strobes These stands are the perfect size for speedlights and small strobes with small modifiers. We recommend using softboxes or umbrellas no larger than 33" as larger modifiers can become unstable in the wind. |
Fluorescent Lights These are the standard kits included with all of our fluorescent lighting kits. |
Small LED Panels Use these stands if you want to take your on-camera LED panel off camera. While these are great for small LED panels, we do not recommend them for large LED panels such as our 900 and 1200 Series panels. |

Set up with a wide base Open the stand legs until the crossbars are parallel with the ground. This ensures the widest stand footprint, giving you maximum stability. |
Remove the black thread cap This black cap is used to protect the 1/4-20 thread during transit but can prevent your lights from sitting securely on the top of the stand. |
Adjust the height For maximum stability, extend the bottom sections first, and do not fully extend the individual sections unless needed. |
Use sandbags when working outside Sandbags increase stability by adding weight to the base of the stand. These are especially useful when working outside with umbrellas and softboxes. sandbags sold separately |
